Matteo Ricci,a Western preacher , successfully spread the Western culture in China. This is mainly because of his practical idea and way of communication. His first step adopted was to wear Chinese scholar's dress , study the Chinese scriptures and get to know the Chinese customs and habits . The other effective key points includes that he tried to follow the line of upper classes of the society , make friends with learned men and spread the science knowledge in China .
