摘要
许渊冲先生的古诗英译实现了他所提出的"三美"目标,他的翻译艺术精湛老到,炉火纯青,远非其"三化"之方法所能概括。文章拟对许先生在古诗英译方面的独特技法和策略进行小结和分析。
Prof. XU Yuan-chong has realized the goal of 'three beauties' (semantic beauty, tonal beauty & formal beauty) set by himself in his English translation of ancient Chinese poems, but his unique and sophisticated translation techniques surpass his own methods of three '-ilizations'(generalization, equalization & specialization). In this paper, attempt has been made to sum up the translation techniques and strategies adopted by prof.Xu.
