Frame structure is a syntactical structure typical of German. It requires the complements to appear before the content verbs. This counter thinking process, to some extent, reveals the rigorous thinking habits of the Germans. This paper analyzes the lexical order of the different complements in the frame structure and discusses ways to achieve the pragmatic effects with out-of -frame structures.
