摘要
我国医学院校图书馆面临的突出困难,是投资强度不能与书刊价格上涨幅度同步增长,书刊购买力逐年下降。面对严峻的形势,所采取的措施收效甚微,人们在困惑中思索着今后将怎么办！我国正在从计划经济向社会主义市场经济体制转变,医学教育改革正在深入。馆长要做一个称职的管理者,也必须更新观念;充分利用计算机与通讯技术相结合的手段,把服务重点转向为读者提供文献资料的来源;建设符合学校实际的藏书体系;依靠综合改革走出困惑。
The most noticeable difficulty facing the medical libraries is the progressive decline in purchasing power because investment increase is not in step with the price hike of books and journals, what should we do in the face of such a grim situation in which very little effect could be produced by measures. Our country is undergoing the transition from planned economy to socialist market economy and reform in depth in medical education. In order to extricate libraries from their difficult position, a director of library must renew his sense, lay stress on provision of the source of document and data by making full use of computers and communication techniques, and develop a rational library collection system in accordance with the practical needs of its readers.
