摘要
Malapropism,即“可笑的误用”,作为一种修辞手法,虽然迄今很少有辞书和修辞著述论及,然而它却是英语表达中常见的一种用词错误现象,本文将简述其来源并分析产生这种语言现象的原因及其修辞效果。
As a rhetorical device, malapropism, though rarely treated of in dictionaries and documents, is indeed a common phenomenon of misuse of words. This paper makes a brief survey of malapropism, and analyzes the reasons for its existence and rhetorical effects.
