阅读教学中培养学生的猜词能力

摘要 阅读教学是英语教学中的重点和难点,其主要目的是帮助学生提高阅读速度和增加词汇量,进而提高阅读理解能力和综合运用语言的能力。本文阐述了如何利用语境和构词法培养学生猜词能力的重要性及方法。 Reading comprehension is one of the most important and tough tasks in English teaching. The course of “Extensive Reading” is intended to enhance the reading speed of the students and enlarge their vocabulary, and thus improve their competence and performance in comprehension and communication. This paper expounds the importance of cultivating the students’ skills in using the“guessing strategy” by the clues derived from the context and word-formation, and proposes some effective approaches in language teaching to foster their communicative competence.
