民国初期在华西人尊孔思想平议

On the worship of Confucius of occidentals in China in the early days of the Republic of China

在民国初期的新旧思潮冲突中 ,在华西人的态度引人注目。他们提倡中西文化调和 ,主张尊崇孔教 ,在当时产生了一定影响 ,推动了孔教运动的发展。尽管他们与康有为、陈焕章等人的尊孔思想在总体上没有什么差别 ,但是他们毕竟是以西方人的身份来看待孔子和中国传统文化的命运的 ,因此 ,也有其独特性。

During the collision between new and old thoughts,attitude of occidentals in China caught lot of men's eye.They advocated conciliating between Chinese culture and western culture,appealed to worship Confucius,having influenced ideology circles and the Confucianism movement to some extent.There was no difference as a whole between occidentals in China and Kang You-wei or Chen Huan-zhang on the worship of Confucius,but because they were occidentals after all when they appraised Confucius and Chinese culture,thereby their worship of Confucius was special comparatively.Their worship of Confucius to some degree reflected that occidentals began to scan merits of Chinese culture and western culture renewedly after the First World War.
