摘要
汉英复合词一般由两个实义词构成,但对于某些汉英复合词来讲,其中的一个实义词在构词过程中会发生语法化.其语法化的主要机制包括隐喻,泛化,分化,融合,译借,类推和自动化.复合词的语法化可以由一种机制造成,也可以是由几种机制共同作用而发生的,而隐喻则是英汉复合词语法化最重要的机制.
Compounds both in Chinese and English are usually comprised of two content words, but one of the two content words will be grammaticalized for some compounds. The mechanisms of grammacalization includes: metaphor,generalization, differentiation, mixture, loan-translation, analogy and automation. The grammaticalization of compounds may be caused by one mechanism, also can be the results of the co-functioning of several mechanisms. Metaphor is the most important one for grammaticalization in both Chinese and English compounds.
