摘要
彭城是今岳阳市城区最早的古城,位于云溪区陆城镇铜鼓山。商代早期,商人南渐,扩展政治军事势力,掠夺长江中游地区的铜矿、锡矿等物资,为保障千里长江水运线的安全,于是在铜鼓山建立了以水为池的环壕战略要塞彭城。
Peng-cheng, He ancientest city in the city of Yueyang, lies in Mount Tong gu, Lucheng Town of the Yun Xi District. During the early period of the Shang dynisty merchants moved southward. They expanded their political and military influence and piliaged copper, tin and so on nineral aloug the middle reaches of Changjiang River. In order to ensure the safety of water transport on the Chanjiang River, Pengcheng was establshed as the strategic fortress.
