以淀粉、丙烯腈为原料,2‰mol的硝酸铈为引发剂,通过接枝共聚、碱性水解制得高倍吸水树脂。这种吸水树脂可吸收相当于自身重量300倍的自来水。用甲醇脱水干燥后制成米粒大小的基料,表面涂敷5‰的花生香精即成无毒鼠药,老鼠食入后因大量饮水,腹胀而死。论文还讨论了原料配比、引发剂用量、反应时间以及反应温度对基料吸水倍率的影响及无毒鼠药对基料吸水倍率的要求,并以田鼠为例对这种无毒鼠药的灭鼠效果进行了初步试验。
Using starch and acrylonitrile as reagents, 0.002 mol cerium nitrate as initiator, a highly water-absorbingresin was obtained from graft copolymerization and alkaline hydrolysis. This water absorbing resin can absorb about300 times its weight in water. After using methanol to dry the resin, it was broken into granule sized base material, ontowhich was spread 0.5% essence of peanuts to produce a non-toxic rodenticide that cause rats to drink large quantities ofwater and then swell and die. The effect of reagent proportions, initiator concentration, reaction time, and reaction tempera-ture on water absorbing capacity of the base material was investigated as well as the water absorption requirement forrodenticide efficacy. Preliminary experiments were conducted on field rats to determine efficacy of the rodenticide.
