Social Capital and Regional Financial Development: An Empirical Research Based on Chinese Provincial Data

社会资本被认为是影响社会进步与经济发展的重要因素之一。文章以中国省际数据为样本,实证研究了各地区社会资本与金融发展之间的关系。研究结果表明,社会资本相对优势与地区金融发展之间存在着正相关关系,这一结果在加入控制变量之后依然显著。

Social capital is considered as one of the most important factors in social progress and economic growth. The article empirically examines the relationship between social capital and financial development in China based on the provincial data. The results confirm that there is a significant positive correlation between social capital and financial development, even after adding the controlled variables.
