On Self-Actualization

自我实现是人的一种高层次心理需要和普遍追求。尊重人的自我实现愿望和权利 ,对于发挥人的内在潜力 ,实现人的价值 ,以及推进社会主义现代化建设 ,具有积极的意义和作用。思想政治工作者的任务是以唯物史观和马克思主义人学理论为依据 ,引导人们克服个人主义、利己主义的自我实现观 ,树立科学的自我实现观 ,创造出既对社会有价值又拥有个人幸福的人生。

Self Actualization is a universal motive and psychological need in higher level. It is of great significance to respect individual's right and desire to realize his ego, develop his potentials positively and promote socialist construction as well. The task of an ideological and political worker is to guide people to establish a sound and scientific concept of self actualization that is of both social value and individual happiness.
