On Carrying Forward Indigenous Study of Psychology In China

从西方科学土壤上产生的心理学 ,必须吸取东方文化的丰富营养。心理学的中国化 ,要以辩证唯物论为方法论基础 ,要进行中国人的心理实验 ,要有符合中国的国情的心理量表和方法 ,要继承祖国心理学思想遗产 ,要学习外国心理学有益的东西。心理学的中国化研究 ,其最终目标是心理学的科学化。

Psychology, with its western origin, must absorb a plenty of nutrition from oriental culture. In order to make psychology indigenous to China, attention should paid to the following aspects: taking dialectical materialism as the foundation of methodology, doing psychological experiments with Chinese subjects, using questionnaires and methods adjustable to Chinese conditions, carrying on the traditional psychological thought of our country and absorbing useful things from foreign psychological theories. The very purpose of an indigenous study of Chinese psychology is to make psychology a scientific subject.
