论科学的道德价值

On the Moral Value of Science

科学在道德方面具有丰富价值 ,表现为 :科学是促进道德完善的内在力量 ,科学推动着道德观念的进步 ,现代科学活动愈来愈凸现出集体主义精神 ,科学具有道德教育功能等。“反科学主义”全盘否定科学的道德价值是偏颇的。探讨科学的道德价值 ,对于全面认识科学的价值内涵 ,对于以科学为主导的“知识型”社会的持续健康发展以及中国社会的现代化建设都具有重大的理论和现实意义。

In science there is rich moral value. The moral value of science is manifested in such facts as that science is the inner force of moral perfection; that science gives impetus to the progress of moral ideas; that modern scientific activities have exhibited more and more collectivist spirit; and that science can play a part in moral education, etc. So “anti scientism” is incorrect in totally denying the moral value of science. To explore the moral value of science can help us to fully understand the moral implication of science. It is of great significance both in theory and in practice for the sustainable and sound development of a “knowledge oriented society”, in with science plays a dominant role, as well as for the modernization of Chinese society.
