Based on the on-the-spot investigation data,the authors of this article analyze form a cultural angle the rich connotation of the change of leisure patterns of the present-day peasants of Western Hunan,expound its cultural signification and offer some opinions on the correct undersatnding of this change and on the proper guidance of the trend.
