二战以后,西方国家政治思潮呈现多元化,政府的权威下降,导致民主出现危机,处于一片混乱之中。为此,萨托利潜心研究,对平等作了一个新的界定,为自己的民主观奠定一个理论前提,在西方政治学界产生很深远的影响,同时对我国的政治经济也具有一定的借鉴意义。

After the second world- war, the western countries'political trend of thought presents its diversification, authority of government descend, which cause the crisis of the democracy and confusionof society. For this, Sataly oncentrate on studies, and make a new definition to equality, establish a premise theories for his own democracy view, which has profound influence in the world of western political education and at the same time from which we can draw lessons for our country's economy and politics.
