This paper briefs on a new series of photo-promotors produced firstly by condensation of benzoin with primary amines, e. g. ethanol amine, and then by reaction of the resulted secondary amine products with either epoxy compounds, or aldehydes. Both the additive products contain hydroxyl groups, so possess substantial hydrophilic property. Compounds of this type have a series of characteristics: high photo-promotion activity, low production cost, and rnisci-ble with aqueous and non-aqueous light sensitive compositions.
