It was announced that Robert Burns-A Scottish poet had been elected the man of millennium. This reputation is undoubtedly due to his collection and revision of Scottish ballads, as well as his poetry. The present paper explores one of his well-known love poems and political one, analyses their languages , styles and implications of words, even makes contrast with an ancient Chinese poem.
