摘要
The triangular rimmed bronze mirrors with mythical figure and animal design unearthed in Japan can be divided into two categories: so-called “imported” and “imitative” . Most of the Japanese researchers believe that the former are made in and imported from China while the latter, imitations made by Japanese craftmen at home. Some Japanese researcher, however, has recently put forward that the mirrors falling under the second category are also imported Chinese products. The present paper makes an argument that the so-call “imported” are actually also made in Japan by Wu craftmen who came from China during the Three Kingdoms period, whereas the “imitations”, by Japanese artisans at home. As the two categories of mirrors are both made in Japan, they show close relationship between each other.
