要学好一门语言 ,仅靠语言知识是不行的 ,还必须有一定的文化知识。因为语言与文化不可分 ,语言是文化的载体。本文阐述了文化背景知识对第二语言习得中的听、说、读、写、译等方面的影响 ,进而阐述文化在第二语言习得中的重要性。

To Learn a Language well requires not only language points, but also cultural background, for language can't be separated from culture. language is the carrier of culture. This paper mainly talks about the effect of cultural background on the aspects such as listening comprehension and spoken English,readling comprehension,writing and translation, and the importance of cultural background in second language acquisition.
