摘要
丁沙地遗址地处句容市西北,1998年进行了抢救性发掘,发掘面积约350平方米,出土陶器10余件、玉器(料)78件、各类玉器加工工具数百件及大量陶片。其中玉器均为半成品,有的尚保留线切割痕迹。玉料包括玉璞和加工后的残剩料。玉器加工工具有阴线雕刻工具、片切割工具和打磨工具。此遗址应为一处以玉器加工为主,并制作少量石器的玉石加工作坊。
Located to the northwest of Jurong City, the Dingshadi Site underwent testing digging in 1988-89 and a rescue excavation in 1998, both conducted by archaeologists from Nanjing Museum. A total area of 350 sq m was opened up in the 1998 season, yielding 10 pottery objects, 78 jade or stone objects and hundreds of tools for jade procession and a large amounts of potsherds. All of the jade objects are unfin-ished, some even boating traces of cutting. The jade materials include raw materials that show no sign of procession and leftovers bearing traces of cutting in different ways. The tools include the engraver, cutter and polsher. Judging by the stratification and remains found, the site was a workshop chiefly for jade and occaslinally for stone procession.
