An Explanation of the US Exclusive Tendency Against Overseas Chinese in Terms of National Intergration

对于美国排华的原因 ,史学界多从政治、经济角度去探讨。它们固然是美国排华的重要原因 ,但是 ,华人的组织———同乡会馆与华人的第二故乡———唐人街的存在所造成的两种文化的冲突、民族融合的困难 。

The historians tend to explore the causes of the US exclusive tendency against Overseas Chinese in terms of politics and economy and their attribution of this tendency to political and economic interest is obviously justifiable.However,there exists an important cause that cannot be neglected.It can be interpreted as the cultural conflict between the two nations and difficulty in national integration,which are characterized by the organixations of Overseas Chinese such as Chinese associations of fellow provincials or townsmen and their second hometown in the United States,namely,Chinatown.
