扩大党的群众基础 壮大党的力量──关于吸收新社会阶层中优秀分子入党的问题

Enlarge Mass Base of the Party and Expand Party's Forces──On Question Concerning Admission of Outstanding People in the New Social Stratum into the Party

改革开放以来，我国的社会结构发生了显著变化，出现了新的社会阶层。能否把新的社会阶层中的优秀分子吸收到党内来，从而增强党的阶级基础，扩大党的群众基础，壮大党的力量，这是摆在中国共产党人面前的新课题，而江泽民同志《在庆祝中国共产党成立八十周年大会上的讲话》，对此给予了马克思主义的回答。

Abstract: Since reform and opening-up, social structure in our country has an obvious change with new social stratum appearing. The new project faced by the Chinese Communist Party is whether we can admit into the Party those outstanding people in the new social stratum in order to enlarge the mass base of the Party and to expand the Party's forces. Jiang Zemin's speech at the celebration of the Party's 80th anniversary gives a Marxist reply to this.
