On the Translation of Tradenames

本文阐述了在现代经济社会中 ,商品商标翻译的重要性 ,指出了商标翻译与社会背景、文化等的紧密联系 ,归纳和综述了各种翻译的技巧。其中着重介绍和分析了音译、意译、半音半意和谐音双关等几种常用翻译方法的技巧和特点。

In this paper,the importance of trade names translation in modern economic society is expounded,the close connection of trade names translation with social background and culture is explained,and the skills of trade names translation are concluded and summarized.Among which,the author stresses on introducing and analyzing the skills and features of transliteration,free translation,combination of transliteration and free translation,and homophone translation.
