墨子游鲁阳及孟胜守鲁阳考说

ABOUT MOCIUS’ TRAVELLING LUYANG AND SELLING HIS IDEAS AND MENG SHENG’S DEFENDING LUYANG

墨子晚年游说鲁阳文君,死于鲁阳。由墨子游说鲁阳文君的说辞,可见墨家“非攻”学说成熟于墨子晚年。墨子死后,巨子孟胜继续守卫鲁阳,并死于阳城。自此后墨家出现派别分化。

In his later years,Mocius travelled Luyang and sold his ideas to Wen Jun,and then died in Luyang.According to the saying about Mocius’ travelling Luyang and selling his ideas to Wen Jun,we can see the change of Mocian theory “Non-attack”.After Mocius’ death,his well-known follower Meng Sheng Continued defending Luyang and died at Yangcheng.Since then the Mocians had split.
