词缀最显著的功能是帮助构词,是汉语由单音节向双音节发展的重要手段之一,具体说来有四大功能:表义功能、定性功能、调配音节、避免重复。
The main function of affix is to form words.Affixation is an important means in the process from monosyllable words to bisyllable words in Chinesse. To speak detailedly, the affix possesses four functions : to express meaning; to determine the nature of words; to adjust syllable;and to avoid repetition.
