Hong Qian is a representative personage of the Vienna School in China. He devoted all his life to the illustration of the philosophic ideas of the Vienna School. The Vienna School is known for its slogan of 'refusing metaphysics'. Hong Qian held that there was a complicated cognitive reason for the emerging of metaphysics. The possible appearance of metaphysics lies between cognition and experience, in the process of thinking based of induction and the process of thinking based on intuition. And he offered a profound analysis of such possibilities.
