Through intrducing a project of communication between Honeywell software platform EBI and ABB Modbus PLC, this article states some important content of Modbus protocal which should be well understood, explains the principle of the serial communication, also concludes this project to give the ways of configuration. This article will do some meaningful help to building automation projects use this kind of opening interface.
