闻一多在唐诗研究中深刻体悟到中国古典诗歌之美。他认为, 唐诗的发展是一个扬弃的过程, 同时又是一个渐进的过程。唐诗的发展是整个唐文化发展之一部分。他在唐诗研究中贯穿了“风格即人”的美学思想。

Wen Yiduo understood the poems of Tang Dynasty deeply when he was working on them. He thought that the aesthetic styles of the ancient Chinese poems were exquisite, and the development of the poems during Tang Dynasty was a course in which the poets cultivated the positive sides and cast aside the negative elements in their poems. It was a course in which the poems were perfected gradually. The development of the poems was a part of development in relation to the civilization in this period. From his research we can see “ one’s aesthetic style of the work is just the same as oneself ”.
