李商隐诗歌的色彩表现艺术体现师法自然的赋色原则,这与李白、王维、李贺诗歌的设色有所不同。其色彩意象丰富而表意多样。大量使用精神色彩意象,以“艳色写悲情”为代表的相同色彩组合的异用,依境调色以及亮色点睛等设色特征使得色彩与意境相融。其设色还依据题材、抒情对象、生平阶段等不同表现内容营构风格各异的色彩意境。由此形成了李商隐诗歌色彩表现“沉博绝丽、色境浑融”的风格。
