For a long time in the academic field Emily Dickinson has always been regarded as a hermit. There even are some researchers who criticize her for her indifference to the outside world. They say her poems are only around the trifles. In fact, if we examine her poems more, we can find that the change and the development of the whole world are all described in her poems and her own life is greatly affected by the outside society. From the examination of some of her poems in this essay, we can see her care for the whole world and a more comprehensible understanding of Emily Dickinson can be achieved.
