A Cultural View on the Change of Higher Education in West China Universities

西部高等教育与中东部存在着巨大的差距。面对新的历史机遇,西部高等教育要实现跨越式发展,转变观念是其逻辑前提。西部深厚的历史文化底蕴和独特的多元化民族传统,是西部高等教育办学理念的文化基础。西部高等教育要实现跨越式发展,只有在时间上与现代化相对接,在空间上与东部乃至世界相关联,才能在继承传统办学理念的基础上实现现代化的转型。

There is a great gap between universities of West China and East & Mid-China. With the chances for new development, the logical premise for the western universities to make jump development is to change ideas. The rich history and culture and its unique multicultural tradition provide a cultural foundation for the orientation of western higher education. To make a jump in development, it is necessary for the west to catch up in time, to contact in space with the east as well as with the world, so as to change ideas about education from the traditional to the modern concept.
