The feasibility and advantage of calculating residual oil by single well geological reserve and well-point residual oil distribution are demonstrated by starting with a case of reserve calculation by using well-point areal weigh method for single well controlled oil-bearing area in Erzhongxi block. This method suits to extremely heterogeneous conglomerate reservoirs and is practical for old reservoir potential tapping study and worth spreading.
