《墨经》中研究的推类,是根据两个对象在本质上相同,从一个对象具有某种属性推出另外一个对象也具有该种属性的推理。推类离不开对对象的具体分析,所以《墨经》的推类理论包括有关类的理论和认识论的内容于其中。《墨经》推类理论的主要特点是非形式的,其推理规则具有不可操作性。

Tuilei researched in 'Mojing' is the inference which means that the property of one object can be inferred from the same property of anotheraccording to the sameness in the essence of the two objects.Tuilei cannot go without the specific analysis about the object and identification of the class which it belongs to therefore the theory of Tuilei involves the theory of the class and contents of epistemology.The main characteristic of the theory of Tuilei in 'Mojing'is informal and its rule is inoperable.
