Breeding of new peanut variety Guihua 26

桂花2 6 (原编号5 0 8- 4 )是广西农科院经济作物研究所采用91/ 80 30 - 2 (贺县大花生×四倍体半野生种A..monticola- 2 ) F8作母本,粤油2 2 3作父本进行复交选育而成的栽野杂交种,具有单株结荚多、出仁率高,抗叶斑病、抗锈病、抗倒伏等优良性状。2 0 0 0～2 0 0 2年参加广西花生品种区试,3年18个点次平均荚果产量4 0 12 .5 0 kg/ hm2 ,比对照种桂花17增产2 2 .10 % ,达极显著水平;平均籽仁产量2 80 9.2 0 kg/ hm2 ,比对照种桂花17增产16 .10 % ,增产极显著,每公顷荚果产量和籽仁产量在七个参试品种中均列第一位。2 0 0 3～2 0 0 4年参加广西花生新品种试验示范,2年12个点次平均荚果产量36 2 2 .5 0 kg/ hm2 ,比当地栽培品种粤油116增产9.9% ;平均籽仁产量2 5 35 .75 kg/ hm2 ,比粤油116增产12 .4 2 % ,该品种于2 0 0 4年获国家品种保护权。

Guihua26, a new peanut variety developed from the progenies of the cross of 91/8030-2 (Hexiandahuasheng×A.monticola-2, a tetraploid semi-wild species) F 8 as female parent and Yueyou223 as male parent bred by Cash Crops Research Institute of Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The variety showed the characteristics of more number of pods per plant, higher shelling percentage, resistance to rust, leaf spot and lodging, and so on. It had a significant increase in yield and output of seeds as compared with the control Guihua17. Among 7 tested varieties, Guihua 26 was ranged at first place in the Provincial regional trial of new peanut varieties during 2000~2002 with averaged yields of 4012.5kg/hm 2 of pods and 2809.20kg/hm 2 of seeds at 18 sides in three years, which were significantly higher than the CK Guihua17 by 22.01% and 16.10%, respectively. In the demonstration of new peanut varieties of Guangxi during 2003~2004, the averaged yields of pods and seeds were 3622.5kg/hm 2 and 2535.75kg/hm 2,respectively at 12 sides in two years, which were significantly higher than local variety Yueyou116 by 9.9% and 12.42%, respetively. The variety has been approved as the State Protective Variety in 2004.
