There are rich connotations of Deng Xiaoping thoughts on overseas Chinese affairs. The article is intended to make an analysis of Deng Xiaoping's speeches on specific issues such as “overseas relation”, the policy on oversea Chinese, overseas Chinese talents, the key role of overseas Chinese in the process of China's development, the unification of Chinese descendants all over the world and the government organization of overseas Chinese affairs and so on, so as to get a clear understanding about Deng Xiaoping thoughts on overseas Chinese affairs and its great significance for the achievements of overseas Chinese affairs of the Chinese government since 1979.
