The Fail Safe Control (FSC) system is a safety system applied in the process industries.The FSC system is software programmable by means of Functional Logic Diagrams (FLDs) and its hardware can be redundant for reliability.FSC used in the interlock control for axial compressor in the catalytic cracking equipment is introduced.Backgrounds and condition of this system are provided.The design of FLDs is expatiated.The whole FSC application is presented.
