From “Zheye” to “Shi”:the Change of the Ways to Explore the Essence of Modern Chinese Poetics

从“者也”到“是”意味着一种新的诗学形式的产生。这种探索诗的本质的方式既不同于中国古代“大而化之”的把握对象,也不同于西方对概念边界的严格区分,它是中西杂糅的具有中国现代特殊品质的生成物。

The change from “zheye” to “shi” means the emergence of new poetics. This way to explore the essence of poems is both different from the general research of classical poems in China and different from the strict definition of concepts in western poems as well; it is a blending of the above two ways and is imbued with special qualities of modern China.
