摘要
《说文解字》收女部字计238个,从这些女部字中我们可以窥探出女性社会地位的变化。这种变化主要体现在三个层面:一是母系氏族社会时期,女性是氏族的核心,享有崇高的地位;二是进入父系氏族社会,妇女地位一落千丈,惟母亲受到尊重;三是姣好的女子只是男子的玩物或繁衍后代的工具,在欣赏、艳羡之余,又把脏水泼到女子身上。
There are totally 238 words with radicals“女”. From these words we can see the change of female social status in the early periods. The change is mainly refleted at three levels: firstly, during the period of matrilineal commune, females were the core of the clan and had the highest status; secondly, during the period of paternal commune, female status declined a lot, only mothers were respected; thirdly, pretty women were only men's toys or tools of breeding later generations. Men dallied with women and belittled them.
