Mr Zhang Jinfan’s new book Modern Chinese Society and Legal Civilization gives an all-round, systematic and in-depth discussion on the problems such as the evolution, transplantation, reformation of modern Chinese law, the renovation and recreation of the Chinese legal civilization, from the perspectives of positivist research and theoretical analysis. It impresses the reader greatly with its sound judgments and erudite knowledge.
