Contradiction in cultural mentality is shown in novels.The author's special individual backgrounds influnce his literature expression. Complicated, untold feelings are expressed in the two typical cultural characters of Mr Zhu and Bai Jiaxuan ,in the relationship between revolution and culture, in the relationship between sex and culture, and in the relationship between villiagers and culture.
