晁氏家族是宋代享有盛名的文学世家,晁氏文人同文坛领袖苏轼保持着亲密而持久的师友关系,晁补之就是其中突出的代表。不过,在同苏轼的交游活动中,晁端彦在晁氏子弟和当时文人中都堪称捷足先登。其子晁说之同苏轼的交谊可以媲美晁补之。晁咏之、晁载之等也曾受到苏轼的奖掖。晁补之拜谒苏轼的机缘要追溯至其父晁端友那里。晁氏子弟同苏氏后人也保持着“奕世之好”。弄清晁氏与苏氏的关系。
Family Chao was famous for its old and well-known literature tradition in Song Dynasty. Literators of the Family, with Chao Bu-zhi as an outstanding representative,held an everdurimg friendship with Su Shi, the leading figure among men of letters at that time.But then Chao Duan-yan was the first person among his family and Su Shi's contemporaries who had made friends with Su Shi. Chao Shui-zhi,his son, also formed a friendship with Su Shi, which could be compared to Chao Bu-zhi's. Meanwhile, Chao Yong-zhi and Chao Zai-zhi of the family received Su Shi's a lot of praise and assistance in literary writing. The chance for Chao Bu-zhi to become one of Su Shi's disciples derived from Chao Duan-you,his father,who was one of Su Shi's colleagues. These descendants of Family Chao and Family Su kept the friendship of their ancestors.It is necessary to understand the above relationship for the study on Family Chao and its literature.
