何炳元教授运用发病部位与致病因素之间的关系,诊治某些外科疾病,常收到良好的效果:发于人体上部的疾病,多属风温、风热,治宜散风清热;发于人体中部的疾病,多属气郁、火郁,治宜疏肝清热;发于人体下部的疾病,多属湿火、湿热。

Professor He Bingyuan diagnoses and treats some surgical disease applying the relationship between place of illness and pathogenic factor. The method may often gain good curative effect. Professor He thinks that most of the diseases on the upper of body are caused by wind-warm and wind-heat pathogen, and treated by dispelling wind and removing heat. Most of the diseases in the middle part of body are caused by stagnation of qi and fire, and treated by soothing the liver and cleaning heat. Most of the diseases under the body are caused by damp-heat and treated by removing dampness and heat.
