本文首先提出了调压室水位波动允许值的研究问题，接着从调节原理出发，导出了调压室水位波动允许波幅值的计算公式，确定了调压室水位波动允许值后，在实际中就可以设计并采用小于托马断面的阻抗式调压室、降低工程造价。这项研究工作具有理论和实际意义。

This paper advances a new study question on allowable value of amplitude in Surge tanks.Then,the formula to determine allowable value of amplitude in surge tanks is yielded according to the adjust principle. When the allowable value is determined,a throttied surge tanks,which is of a smaller stable Cross-sectional area than Thoma's section, can be designed and used in practice.And it will economize the cost of construction. This study is of the theoretical and practical Significance.
