Why the Dark Learning School Stressed on Nature

魏晋“自然”精神是中国思想文化史上最亮丽的一颗流星,是魏晋玄学家们集体智慧的结晶。魏晋玄学名士重“自然”的理论依据主要表现为两个方面:一是尊重个体生命本色的“人性自然”论;二是对情欲的探讨及肯定。

The essence of “nature” is the resplendent shooting star in the history of culture and ideology in China, and is a crystallization of wisdom of the dark learning scholars in the Northern Wei and Jin Dynasty. The dark learning school stressed on nature on the basis of two reasons. The main reason is that the dark learning scholars advocated the naturalism respecting individual life. Another reason is that they admitted the objectivity and rationality of the sexual passion.
