On the Two Problems on the Definition of the History Commenting Poets

研究咏史诗首先要对它作出相对明确的界定,然而学术界对咏史诗与怀古诗及咏怀诗的关系,争论颇大。不少学者以为,历史事实与历史遗迹两大创作触发点,是区分咏史诗和怀古诗的重要标志,其实怀古诗虽有自身特点,但仍属于咏史诗中的一种特殊形态;而咏怀诗与咏史诗虽有交叉,却异大于同,是两种不同的诗歌类型。咏史诗是诗人受历史信息触发而创作的以史实为题材,表现个人情怀的诗歌。

To do any research work on history commenting poems, the first step is defining it relatively definite. However, the academe still has quiet a strong debate over the relationships between history commenting poems, history memorizing poems and faith lyrics. A number of scholars consider that the two creating motivations, historical fact and historical remains, are the important mark to differentiate history commenting poems and history memorizing ones. In fact, the history memorizing poems have their own characteristics. But it’s still one of the types of history commenting poems. Although faith lyrics have some crossing field with history commenting poems, they have more differences than similarities as two different poetry categories. History commenting poems are the ones that are created to show poets’ feelings who were stimulated with the history information. Historical facts are such poems’ material.
