摘要
下一代高速“核心”路由器不仅支持IPv4而且支持IPv6,但传统的线卡和转发查表机制耗费大量的系统资源,且不能满足高速路由查找的要求。本文通过比较IPv4和IPv6线卡查表和转发查表,指出了传统查表机制在路由器支持IPv6的情况下的弊端,提出了一种路由查表机制的设计思想,并进行了系统仿真,其结果表明:该系统既节省系统资源,又提高了系统速度。
Next-generation “core” router should not only support IPv4but but also IPv6. However traditional line card routing lookup and forwarding routing lookup mechanism will consume immense system resource and don't satisfy high speed routing lookup. In this thesis we point out the disadvantage of traditional routing lookup mechanism when router sustains IPv6 by comparing interface routing lookup and transmit module routing lookup mechanism in IPv4 and IPv6, and propose a new routing lookup mechanism which bas been proved by system simulation. Its result show this lookup mechanism can not only save system resource but also increase syetem speed.
