Breeding of New Variety of Luxing Chinese Cabbage

绿星青菜的父母本是利用国外引进的优良品种经多代自交选育的高代自交系。该一代杂种生长势强,商品性绿优,适应性广。株高39cm,叶片数17～20张,单株重200～250g。叶片绿色,卵圆形,叶柄绿白色,宽厚略凹,叶片重与叶柄重之比为0.55。菜头大,束腰紧,外形优美,商品性好。夏季栽培,产量2.25t/hm2左右,秋季栽培产量4.5t/hm2以上。两年区域试验,绿星青菜比矮脚黄增产32.8%,比苏州青增产11.3%。适合全国喜食青梗菜消费的地区栽培。

Both female and paternal parents of the new variety of Luxing Chinese cabbage are self-seed from self-cross plants of imported variety with superior quality. The hybrid seed of F1 is of strong growth vigor, superior marketing value and wide adaptability. When harvested, the variety is 39 cm in height, 17～20 leaves, 200～250 g. Its leaf is green, ellipse. Leaf stem is verdant green, wide, thick and with a dented line. The weight rate between leaf and leaf-stem is about (0.55.) The head of matured plant is bulgy, and constringent in the waist, and with attractive shapeliness for sale. The yield is 22.5 t·hm^(-2) in summer, and 45 t·hm^(-2) in autumn. Two years of regional trials indicate that the yield of Luxing variety is 32.8% higher than Aijiaohuang, 11.3% higher than suzhouging. Luxing is fit planting in area where people like varieties with green leaf-stem.
