翻译工作者在翻译过程中须具备三种能力:原文的理解能力、目标语的表达能力及对译文的润色能力。每一种能力在翻译中都有其重要地位,缺一不可。
A lot of translators find it difficult to embody the target language with the original flavour. Excellent translators should have three kinds of abilities in the translating process: the ability to understand the original, the ability to express in native language and the ability to touch it up. This article illustrates the necessary process from the three aspects, each of which is so important in translation that it cannot be ignored.
