An Urgent Task for Chinese Architects-Creativity in Architectural Design Based on Philosophy and Cultural Theories

本文以国际知名建筑师在中国的设计竞赛中频频胜出的现象为切入点,探讨了中国建筑师在专业知识结构上的缺陷问题,指出了哲学、文化理论在建筑创作上的生命力,指出提高哲学、文化理论的修养是当今中国建筑师在摆脱压力和失落、与国际建筑业同行站在同一高度的提高过程中最为迫切的环节之一。

This paper focuses on the phenomenon that renowned international architects have been continuously winning design contests in China, from which it discusses the shortage of professional basic knowledge of Chinese architects. The paper points out that philosophy and cultural theories are the sources of creativity in architectural design, and improving philosophy and cultural theories are the most urgent tasks for Chinese architects to get out of pressure and depression and finally be at the same design level with their international colleagues.
